SHIPPING & RETURNS POLICY
Shipping Overview
LilaBare ships locally within Kenya and internationally. All orders are prepared and dispatched directly from our Nairobi atelier with care and attention to detail.
Local Shipping (Kenya)
Local shipping within Kenya is free of charge.
Ready-to-ship items are dispatched within 3–4 business days.
Made-to-order items are dispatched within 4–8 weeks, depending on the style and level of craftsmanship.
Delivery times may vary slightly depending on location and courier schedules.
International Shipping
International shipping is charged at a flat rate of USD 15 per order.
All international orders are shipped via DHL Express.
Ready-to-ship items are dispatched within 3–4 business days.
Made-to-order items are dispatched within 4–8 weeks, depending on the style.
Customs & Duties
International customers are responsible for paying any customs duties, taxes, or import fees required by their destination country. These charges are determined by local customs authorities and are not included in the shipping rate.
LilaBare is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance processes.
Made to Order & Bespoke
Many LilaBare garments are produced on a made-to-order basis. Production timelines
range from 4–8 weeks depending on the design, materials, and techniques involved.
We accept bespoke measurements for made-to-order styles. Once production has begun, measurements and design specifications cannot be changed.
Made-to-order and bespoke pieces are created specifically for each client and are not eligible for return or refund except in cases of defect or damage.
Returns & Refunds
LilaBare does not offer refunds at this time.
Refunds are only considered if an item arrives defective or damaged.
Any issues must be reported within 72 hours of delivery and must be accompanied by clear photographic documentation so the issue can be assessed.
Exchanges & Store Credit (Local Orders Only)
Local customers within Kenya may be eligible for an exchange or store credit, subject to availability.
Items must be unworn, unused, and returned in their original condition.
Store credit is issued for the value of the item and is valid for six months from the date of issue.
International exchanges are not currently supported.
Important Notes
Garments produced using botanical dyes and natural fibres may display natural variations
in colour and texture. These variations are inherent to the process and are not considered defects.
Differences between screen images and the final garment may occur due to lighting, dye
batches, and the nature of handcrafted production. Each piece evolves over time and is unique to you, intentionally designed to be imbued with your journey as you wear it and eventually pass on as an heirloom.
