We are inspired by the heritage from which our fabric is crafted, bringing traditions of the ancient worlds into today’s conversations of inclusivity, art, gender and body image through its designs. We use the industry's natural fibre excess, which would otherwise go into landfill. So far, we have recycled over 700 lbs of textile and counting...that equals 1 million litres of water preserved and counting.

Artisans, tailors & independent makers form the bulk of our supply chain; there is a story behind EVERYTHING in a Lilabare piece. In our garden atelier in Nairobi, we hire and train local tailors, who receive more than double the local industry standard, snacks & meals as well as transport every day.

Our daily goal is to make our makers feel appreciated, safe & taken care of. These individuals & artisanal groups are the backbone of our brand, bringing our original designs to life with integrity and their refined skills.
